26 Market Research is a free, real-time dashboard that answers everyday questions like "Is it a holiday today?", "Is the stock market open right now?", and "What is the current price of AAPL?" — all in one place. We cover 60+ countries and 17 actively tracked stock symbols across major global exchanges.
Our Data Sources
We believe in transparency about where our data comes from:

Methodology
Holiday data: We fetch public holiday calendars from Nager.Date, which aggregates official government sources for each country. Holidays are cached for 24 hours and refreshed daily.
Stock prices: Real-time quotes are fetched from Finnhub's free tier API. Historical price data for sparkline charts comes from Yahoo Finance's v8 chart endpoint (14-day daily candles). Prices are cached for 3 minutes to balance freshness with API rate limits.
Market status: Exchange open/close times are computed client-side using each exchange's timezone and published trading hours. We track 20 major exchanges including NYSE, NASDAQ, LSE, JPX, HKEX, and more.
